With its many technical firsts, the original Flagship model was the pride of the Longines collection when it came out in 1957. Its case back featured the image of a flagship, ready to sail the seven seas. The Flagship soon made its mark as the emblem of flawless fusion of technological excellence and understated elegance.
Today three Flagship Heritage models are available from Longines in pink gold with a self-winding movement: a reissue of the original 1957 design, a classic chronograph and an all-new moonphase chronograph. Here again simple, sweeping lines salute a tradition of elegance. On the case back, as ever, the stamp of a flagship beckons the voyager.
This year, 2007, is the 25th anniversary of the current Omega Constellation model. It all started in 1952 of course, but in 1982 Omega had enough of all those different 1970s Constellations and introduced this ‘Manhattan’ model to get the Constellation back on the map again. After 25 years, a lot changed, but the original ‘Manhattan’ design is still recognizable!
